Formation History

1998-2000

Trường Long Commercial and Service Co., Ltd., the predecessor of Trường Long Automotive Engineering and Technology Joint Stock Company, was established on February 16, 1998, headquartered at 06 Dinh Bo Linh, Ward 26, Binh Thanh District, HCMC, specializing in trading specialized equipment, especially crane products.

2001 – 2005

The development period with a series of events marking the company’s new development stage such as:

• Officially became a 3S dealer of Hino Motors Vietnam in 2004.
• Established the design, engineering department, and opened a factory for manufacturing trucks and specialized vehicles in Ho Chi Minh City.
• Established a branch in Can Tho to display Hino vehicle products while organizing after-sales services at the branch to serve customers in the Mekong Delta region.

2006 – 2010

This was a landmark year in Trường Long‘s development history. Trường Long was the first company in Vietnam to build a “one-stop shopping” model to create favorable conditions and reduce costs for customers when purchasing Hino trucks. This model includes: truck bed design and production, truck and specialized vehicle sales, vehicle inspection services, vehicle repair services, and vehicle body insurance for customers.

• In early 2007, the company moved its headquarters to Tan Tao Industrial Park with a scale of 9,000 m2 including sales and vehicle display areas, repair service workshops, and truck and specialized vehicle body assembly workshops. Trường Long was the only dealer recognized by Hino Motors Vietnam as a “Standard 3S Hino Dealer” in Vietnam.
• In February 2007, Trường Long officially became a joint-stock company. The company restructured its personnel apparatus and reformed management regulations to suit the new business model.
• In June 2007, Trường Long inaugurated the Vehicle Inspection Center 50-10D, one of the first private Vehicle Inspection Centers licensed to practice vehicle inspection in Ho Chi Minh City.
• In October 2007, Sumitomo – Automotive Division signed a strategic partnership contract, holding 25.56% of Trường Long‘s shares. This is a financial conglomerate of considerable scale in Japan, specializing in investing in various fields such as infrastructure, construction, real estate, transportation, finance, etc. Through this strategic cooperation contract, Sumitomo committed to supporting Trường Long financially, in management, and in developing new products and services according to international standards.
• At the end of 2007, Trường Long sold 3% of shares to employees under the “ESOP” program. The program aims to create long-term commitment and attachment of employees to the Company.
• In 2008, the Company implemented the construction project “HINO 3S CENTER, AUTOMOBILE SHOWROOM AND OFFICE BUILDING FOR RENT” at Binh Minh Industrial Park, Vinh Long Province.
• At the end of 2009, the Company increased charter capital from 43.2 billion to 80 billion, preparing for listing on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange in early 2010. The Company’s listing decision aimed to access shareholder capital sources, creating favorable conditions for the Company’s long-term investment and development strategies in the future.
• In October 2010, received approval from the State Securities Commission to list 8 million shares of Trường Long on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) with stock code HTL.
• In November 2010, the company officially became the exclusive distributor of Tadano crane products mounted on trucks in Vietnam.

2011 – Present

• In March 2012, the company officially inaugurated and put into operation the Hino 3S Center in the Mekong Delta region at Binh Minh Industrial Park, Vinh Long Province, the largest Hino truck center in the country
• In January 2014, one of the largest Hino dealers in Thailand, Chairatchakarn Company (Bangkok) became a strategic shareholder of Trường Long Company, holding 18% of Trường Long Company’s shares. With many years of experience in the automobile business in the Thai market, Chairatchakarn will support Trường Long in developing Hino market share in Vietnam.
• In November 2015, ShinMaywa, a leading Japanese specialized equipment manufacturer, signed a contract authorizing Trường Long Automotive Engineering and Technology Joint Stock Company as the sole distributor of lifting equipment for dump trucks in the Vietnamese market.
• In April 2016, the company inaugurated the Hino 3S Center in Da Nang to serve customers in the Central region.
• In October 2016, Aichi Hino, one of the leading Hino dealers in Japan, purchased 5% of shares and became a major shareholder of Trường Long.
• In January 2020, Long Trường Long Company, Binh Duong branch was established to develop Tadano crane products and ShinMaywa dump equipment in the Southern market.
