Tigicam – Tien Giang Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company, formerly the Agricultural Seeds and Materials Company (State Enterprise) under the Tien Giang Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, was established according to Decision No. 1038/QD-UB dated December 21, 1992 by the Tien Giang Provincial People’s Committee. With functions: Agricultural production investment, import-export trading of agricultural materials and agricultural products.
In 1997, it was renamed Tien Giang Agricultural Materials Company according to Decision No. 348/QD-UB dated March 1, 1997 by the People’s Committee. With functions: Trading, import-export of fertilizers, agricultural products, food, machinery and equipment, agricultural and fishery spare parts, solvent chemical additives.
To strengthen and promote production and business capacity, the Tien Giang Provincial People’s Committee issued Decision No. 1795/QD-UB dated June 14, 2000 to merge the Tien Giang Agricultural Service Company and Tien Giang Pesticide Company into the Tien Giang Agricultural Materials Company.
From October 1, 2003 to present, the Tien Giang Agricultural Materials Company transformed into Tien Giang Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company, abbreviated as TIGICAM according to Decision No. 2712/QD-UB dated July 16, 2003 by the Tien Giang Provincial People’s Committee.
