Formation and Development History

Nguyen Binh Khiem School was established on August 19, 1993, according to the establishment decision, the school was named Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary-High School, owned by educator – Dr. Nguyen Van Hoa.

From 2005, Hanoi Department of Education agreed to change the name to Nguyen Binh Khiem Private High School, and according to Decision No. 218/QD-UBND dated January 13, 2011 of Hanoi People’s Committee, Nguyen Binh Khiem Private High School was converted from a private school type to a non-public school type, named Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary and High School – Cau Giay, including 2 levels: Secondary and High School, teaching students from grades 6 to 12.

Nguyen Binh Khiem School is a non-public school type. Right from the first year of establishment, the school identified its goal as a semi-boarding school (100% of students attend 2 sessions per day, eat and rest at noon at school). From 1993 to 1996, the school had to rent premises.

From 1996 to 1999, the school independently built the school according to the long-term plan of people building schools.

In 2002, the city allocated 7,100m2 of land on Tran Quoc Hoan Street to the school.

In 2004-2005, the school invested the owner’s capital and borrowed bank loans to independently clear 7,100m2 of allocated land, building a new school with 4 four-story buildings and 1 basement floor.

Due to new and modern facilities along with reputation for quality, from 2005 to 2009, the school developed solid steps. From 2009 to present, the school has maintained 2,400 students from grades 6 to 12. In May 2006, Nguyen Binh Khiem Private High School – Cau Giay was recognized as a National Standard School.

From 2000 to 2006: Nguyen Binh Khiem School was honored 3 times to receive certificates of merit from the City People’s Committee.

In 2009: the school received a certificate of merit from the Government.

In November 2010: received the Third Class Labor Order.

In 2012, the school completed a project to upgrade to 7 floors to build a high-quality school with modern facilities.

On October 11, 2015, the school received Decision 6057/QD-UBND from the City People’s Committee recognizing it as a high-quality high school of the city.

2018 was a turning point year for Nguyen Binh Khiem High-Quality Education System – Cau Giay, marking the milestone of 25 years of formation and development. The school has undergone significant changes to upgrade quality to implement the educational motto of teaching students to become good people. The school invested in upgrading the 5-star standard toilet system, upgrading facilities at Vinh Yen TNST center, building a new modern kitchen and dining hall.

On November 24, 2018, the school was honored to receive the Second Class Labor Order at the ceremony commemorating 25 years of school establishment.
