EMS Express Delivery Corporation is a reputable transportation service provider, where EMS stands for “Express Mail Service,” meaning fast delivery of goods and mail both domestically and internationally. Formation History
- EMS Express Delivery Corporation was established on January 24, 2005 according to Decision approving the Scheme No. 29/QD-DABC-HDQT of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Corporation, now Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) with 3 branches in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
- Officially operational from January 1, 2006, it is the only unit authorized by Vietnam Post Corporation to manage, exploit and operate domestic and international EMS Express Delivery services. EMS is also the global express delivery service brand of the Universal Postal Union UPU, currently being operated by postal services in nearly 200 countries and territories worldwide.
- To strengthen financial capacity and open up many development opportunities in business operations, in 2013 the Corporation increased its charter capital from 70 billion VND to 91.591 billion VND according to the Resolution of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2013. During the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, the Corporation’s charter capital has continued to increase.
- In 2017, following the direction of EMS Express Delivery Corporation, the company completed the scheme to convert the model from Company to Corporation. Also in 2017, the Hanoi Branch was established to adjust and complete the production organization model at the Corporation, meeting the development needs of production and business in the new situation.

EMS Express Delivery Corporation has nearly 2,300 staff and employees in Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and business personnel at some key markets across the network. EMS Express Delivery Corporation has built a high-quality human resource, professionally proficient, experienced and passionate about the profession. In addition to the system of nearly 50 transaction post offices under the Corporation in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, EMS Express Delivery Corporation has provided express delivery services to 63 Provincial and City Post Offices nationwide, reaching districts, communes, borders and islands, including:
Service point system: more than 13,000 points, average service radius of 2.93 km/point ensuring each commune has at least one service point, average population served of over 7,100 people/point, including:
- 64 level 1 transaction post offices
- 760 level 2 transaction post offices
- 1,793 level 3 transaction post offices
- 8,184 Commune Post Offices – Culture
- 434 postal agents
- 43 Kiosks
- 1,460 independent public mailboxes
